Welcome to the Dallas Storytelling Guild

Who are we?

Members of the Dallas Storytelling Guild range from dedicated listeners to beginning storytellers to full-time professional storytellers. Our stories come from many cultures and include traditional folktales, family and personal stories, cowboy poetry, tall tales, and outright lies! Our individual members provide fee-based programming to schools, churches, civic organizations, and festivals. Some also waive their usual fees for selected non-profit organizations. The Guild is a 501(c)3 organization.

Membership in the Guild

Annual Guild membership is $15 for an individual and $25 for a family. We're proud to now offer you a Pay Pal option for paying your dues! Please open the "Pay Pal" tab for instructions.

Come and join our story circle!

Our story circle meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of every month during which time we...we share STORIES! We also plan and discuss upcoming events. Many tellers use the Story Circle for practice and feedback as they work to bring a story to life. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from the experiences of our more-seasoned members. Feel free to come and listen & to participate as you are comfortable. We have a new home! Beginning in 2010, our Story Circle will meet at The Point. Located on the campus of C.C. Young (4847 W. Lawther Drive, 75214), The Point, a "cultural community without walls", is designed as a gathering place for residents of C.C. Young and community friends. Overlooking White Rock Lake, this new, light-filled facility offers options for meetings, classes and performances. Come - be a part of this exciting experience!
